About the role:
Leading a team of IT application operations professionals located in Puchong, Malaysia, the Application Services Lead is responsible for providing application services support to business applications. Helping AXA to move towards establishing agile development, deployments, and maintenance.

The role is to develop and implement plans, policies, and procedures related to managing application services to support applications in providing an excellent customer service and experience. The application services involve throughout Service Management lifecycle in Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, and Continual Service Improvement stages.

The role is expected to develop and implement the long-term strategy for the application services management to ensure alignment with the company vision and is held accountable for the quality of service delivered.


  • Technical IT background
  • Knowledge/Certified of ITIL Service Management Framework
  • Strong people management, resources management and vendor management skills.
  • Strong inter-personal skills, excellent verbal and written English communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in managing teams of delivery professionals to ensure applications are delivered with high quality, within budget, and according to project schedule.
  • Ability to manage large project portfolio and previous experience in managing multiple medium to large-scale projects running in parallel.
  • Solid experience of managing delivery resources from multiple teams, onshore and offshore, in-house and vendor.
  • Strong solution and service delivery management skills and experience, and a proven track record of developing, implementing and maintaining systems.
  • Working experience in Asia countries, with understandings of the country characteristics, cultures and work style, is an advantage.
  • Experience in various domains of Insurance solution delivery (for example, policy administration systems, business intelligence, printing solution, etc) is a plus.
  • Experience in managing solution delivery through outsourcing arrangement and offshore development centre is a plus.
  • In-depth system development experience, preferably in mid-range platforms with collaboration with other technology domains.
