About The Role

You will be responsible for providing guidance to business when it comes to advising and interpreting policies and controls related to Risk Management. The employer is looking for a Risk Professional that possess excellent communication, strong leadership qualities and people's skill to support the strategic expansion business mainly focused in Risk Management. You will be reporting straight to CEO.


- You will be monitoring changes and compliance with local regulatory requirements

- You will be monitoring risk profiles against limits and compliance with policies and procedures

- You will be accountable for creating processes for assessing, prioritising, identifying, monitoring and avoiding potential business risk

- You will be acting as a channel of communication to receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution

- You will producing risk report for Management and to Risk Management Committees. This includes identifications, assessment and management of operational risk within the Branch business

- You will be reviewing the Bank's activities in accordance with the Bank's risk and compliance policy/procedures. The reviews shall be conducted subject to business requirements of the bank, or on an ad-hoc basis as directed by the Chief Executive Officer

- You will be reviewing and maintaining Bank's Risk policies and procedures. Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of risk and compliance program and its related activites to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct

- You will be maintaining all records and letters relating to Bank's compliance and correspondences with BNM with respect to Risk Management of the organization

- You will respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and standards of conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigation procedures. Develop and oversee a system for uniform handling of such violations

- You will be ensuring adherence to the Institutions Risk appetite and the implementation of Risk Management policies, processes and control within the Institution in managing the key risk to teh institution in managing the key risk to the institution as well as emerging risks. This should be supported by independent assessment by the risk management and control functions

Skills & Experience

- Degree in Accountancy / Banking / Finance / Law / Business Administration, or other appropriate degree / professional qualifications.

- 10 years working experience in the field of Risk Management preferably in the financial industry.

- Candidates with experience in Business/ Functional/ IT lines will have an added advantage

- A clear understanding of Risk Management approaches by financial institution

- Has the relevant supervisory skills and problem-solving skills including comfortable tackling complex problems and breaking these down into manageable pieces

- Ability to leverage resources across the organisation to complete deliverables

- Ability to influence, constructively challenge and negotiate at all levels

- Good PowerPoint skills and at least intermediate Excel Skills

- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English

- Open to Malaysians only
