About The Role

You will be responsible for providing guidance to business when it comes to advising and interpreting policies and controls related to Shariah Review and Shariah Committee (SC) Secretariat. The employer is looking for a Shariah Compliance & Review Professional that possess excellent communication, strong leadership qualities and people's skill to support the strategic expansion business mainly focused in Shariah Division. You will be reporting straight to Chief Compliance Officer.


- You will be performing Shariah review for CIB Malaysia entities in accordance to applicable regulatory requirements and Malaysia Shariah Review framework
- You will be performing Shariah Secretariat function to the Shariah Committee of the organization
- You will be assisting CCO on matters related to accomplishment of the department's mission and goals as per the Malaysia Compliance framework
- You will be assisting CCO to monitor and ensure relevant action is taken to ensure closure of any audit findings related to Shariah Review and Secretariat Functions
- You will be assisting CCO to deliver relevant Shariah related trainings
- You will be assisting in other related Compliance matters including on AML/FS/Sanctions as may be assigned by CCO

Skills & Experience

- Candidate must posses at least a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree
- Experienced in Shariah Review and Compliance relevant fields
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in Shariah Banking
- Relevant Shariah Professional Certificates will be an added advantage
