Job Purpose

  • Delivery of analytics activities whilst providing insights to best approach to drive process improvements
  • Analytics activities include: -
  1. P&L analysis, specifically on expenditures
  2. Data variance analysis and reconciliation
  3. Benchmarking analysis
  4. Potential savings analysis in term of operational and financial
  • Acting as key liaison between the core team and business stakeholders to communicate lean process improvements
  • Acting as the sole contributor to China market’s analysis
  • Perform and deliver under Agile working methodology
  • Prepared month end reporting and able to delivery reports within all the tight timelines
  • Performed analytical review of financial statements and trend analysis to present to global management during the monthly global update
  • Co-ordinated month-end close activities with stakeholders, transaction posting checks and ensure all journals are posted correctly
  • Analysed and monitored inventory movements; resolve stakeholders’ queries

Key Accountabilities

  • Use of Data Analytics to provide Value-Added Insights for the commercial team to make better decisions in Trade Promotions, Pricing & Trade spend as well as Identify Growth Opportunities.
  • Monthly review of financial performance by Product Sub-Categories & Regions to the commercial team, providing the team with key commentaries on Channel, Customer, Brand, Product Sub-Categories & Region. Presentation of findings & insights during Monthly Commercial Finance Meeting (MCFM) where there will be highlights & insight on variations from our Channel financial targets.
  • Ensure Trade Resource Allocations / Promotions drive Effectiveness, Efficiency & Economy of Spend.
  • Prepare Pre & Post Trade Promotion evaluations, ensuring that they incorporate Effectiveness, Efficiency & Economies of Spend.
  • Drive the Standardization, Centralization, Effectiveness, Efficiency & Consistency of Controls & Processes across all locations.
  • Support Budget and Forecast as well as Audit field work.
  • Provide insights on Opex spending, ensure adequate monthly as well as year-end provisions.
  • Support for justification of Capex, review & provide value added insights on Capex spend.
  • Manage Customer Hierarchy.

Job Requirements/ Qualifications

  • Degree in Accouting
  • At least 5-6 years
  • Excel, SAP is added advantage
