The responsibilities also include maintaining schedules, performing reconciliations (such as bank and general ledger reconciliations), and supporting the month-end close process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain general ledger accounting records, including managing daily accounting operations such as GL schedules.
• Perform month-end closing activities, including GL journal entries and intercompany journal entries on a global scale.
• Prepare and maintain any necessary non-GL accounting journal entries as required.
• Ensure the timely preparation of monthly financial and management reports.
• Perform and facilitate intercompany balance reconciliations and confirmations.
• Ensure financial reporting complies with relevant standards, rules, and regulations.
• Adhere to internal control procedures.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, regulators, and government offices.

Additional duties may be assigned by the reporting manager, and the job scope may evolve in line with the growth and development of the Finance organization.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Accounting; ACCA or CPA certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience working in multinational companies is preferred.
• Experience with Big 4 firms is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Teams, Excel, and Dynamics 365) is essential; experience with Sun Microsystems is a plus.
• Ideal candidates are self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work under tight deadlines. They should be good team players with strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) to work effectively across functions. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills for problem-solving, and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the organization are essential.
