Job Summary

  • This is a 12-month contract position (with potential to be extended) reporting to the Finance Manager and working in a team.
  • Plays a key hands-on role in supporting all accounting functions in Malaysia and ensures all reports and records are in compliance to statutory requirements and Company policies. Able to participate in ERP system implementation project includes P2P and R2R. Enable effective knowledge sharing across the business and Finance teams to drive continuous improvement.



Responsibilities

  • “Thinking out of the box” in supporting Finance Manager in internal audit, internal control, policies and guidelines
  • Engage in Audit matters – Internal / external auditor / Balance sheet review
  • Involve in MFRS changes and implementation
  • Timely feedback to queries regarding accounting and control matters
  • Ensure business transactions are correctly reflected based on policies and guidelines
  • Involve in GST and Tax matters
  • Monitor and track monthly OpEx of the company, balance sheet schedule, GL and reconciliation accounts closing
  • Perform analytical review and analysis of financial statement
  • Review and involve in month-end closing activities on the various financial modules including AR, AP, GL, Cash Management and balance sheet schedules and inter-co reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of monthly reporting
  • Able to participate at certain part of ERP project rollouts through design, setup, testing and training stages
  • Involve in stock counts activities

Scope

  • Responsible to ensure all data presented is to Accounting Standards and US GAAP and ensure that financial controls are in place to minimize the risk to the company of error or fraud. Accountable for establishing work prioritization, coordination, and execution while.


Responsibilities

  • Review all human resource tasks done by subordinates from preparing the payroll register until delivering the payslip to the staff inclusive recruitments, appointments, resignations, terminations, staff insurance
  • Responsible to review the sales commissions’ forms claimed by all the sales team, event team and marketing team as well as other human resources matters
  • Prepare the monthly budget on the payroll for entire group
  • Monitor the corporate credit card usage by entitled staff and payments to respective banks.
  • Responsible for application of new and renewal working visa within the group.

  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially with MS Excel

  • Adapts readily to changes in workload, staffing and scheduling
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate throughout all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work and motivate across and within departmental boundaries and resources
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Experience

  • At least 4 years working experience in areas of internal audit and accounting
  • Experience/ exposure in system implementation Education:
  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy; equivalent Professional Qualification, ACCA/CIMA/CPA (part/full)
