Job Summary

  • Responsible to ensure all data presented is to Accounting Standards and US GAAP and ensure that financial controls are in place to minimize the risk to the company of error or fraud. Accountable for establishing work prioritization, coordination, and execution while.



Responsibilities

  • “Thinking out of the box” in supporting Finance Manager in internal audit, internal control, policies and guidelines
  • Engage in Audit matters – Internal/External Auditor/Balance Sheet review
  • Involve in MFRS changes and implementation
  • Timely feedback to queries regarding accounting and control matters
  • Ensure business transactions are correctly reflected based on policies and guidelines
  • Involve in Tax matters
  • Monitor and track monthly OpEx of the company, balance sheet schedule, GL and reconciliation accounts closing
  • Perform analytical review and analysis of financial statement
  • Review and involve in month-end closing activities on the various financial modules including AR, AP, Inventory, GL, Cash Management and balance sheet schedules and inter-co reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of monthly reporting
  • Readiness to support ERP project rollouts through design, setup, testing and training stages
  • Involve in stock counts activities

Desired Qualifications:

  • Good oral skills, ability to communicate at all levels and work as a team
  • Have strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks to meet timelines
  • Able to work independently, self-motivated, self-starter, result-orientated, possess analytical skills and quick adaptability to change
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially with MS Excel
  • Self-motivated professional able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Adapts readily to changes in workload, staffing and scheduling



Experience

  • Exposure in a multinational organization within APAC handling accounting activities including AP, AR as well as maintaining fixed asset register.
  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy or equivalent
  • At least 5 years relevant working experience
