about the role

  • Plays a key hands-on role in supporting accounting functions in Malaysia and ensures all reports and records are in compliance to statutory requirements and Company policies. Responsible for all daily operational Accounts Receivable activities and Accounts Payable upon rotation. Compliance with global and local protocols.


  • Responsible Accounts Receivable process (including Credit Control); Update receivables by coordinating and monitoring daily sales order processing and bank remittance transactions; Collect accounts by contacting customers and investigating circumstances of non-payment;
  • Perform credit control for delinquent account according to company policy.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register; Monitor and process assets sales, transfers, disposals as well as perform reconciliation to general ledger and to perform audit count of all fixed assets in accordance to Company audit schedule.
  • Perform Account Receivable, General Ledger and Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting in Expense Claims process ensuring consistency and completeness of employee’s claims.
  • Ensure accounting effectiveness and compliance to the internal control system
  • Post journal entries, and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules so that the organisation has a full and accurate statement of its financial position and timely information for making financial decision.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards and US GAAP in financial reporting
  • Responsible for Master Data creation, maintenance and monitoring for ERP system
  • Performing all other duties/ projects as assigned by management as and when required.

your profile

  • Has good understanding of US GAAP
  • Good communication skills and work as a team
  • Have strong organisational skills with ability to prioritize tasks to meet timelines
  • Self-motivated with strong interest in learning and a self-starter
  • Good analytical skills and result-orientated
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft application such as Ms Excel, Word, Power Point


  • Exposure in a multinational organization within APAC handling accounting activities including AP, AR as well as maintaining fixed asset register.
  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy or equivalent
  • At least 2 years relevant working experience
