about the company

Our client is a top-tier full-fledge bank with strong presence in Malaysia. The bank is currently expanding their Internal Audit team and are looking for motivated, and ambitious individuals to join them in building a first-class team to deliver excellence within a dynamic and results-oriented environment

about the role

You will be responsible for the internal controls and risks of a company's technology network. Responsible of the IT Audit Manager/Assistant Manager includes identifying the weaknesses in a systems network and creating an action plan to prevent security breeches in the technology.

duties

  • Assist the Chief Internal Auditor and Section Head in the preparation of the Annual Audit Plan to ensure that the Department has a definite plan for the year.
  • Plan and organize the IT Audit, subsidiaries and other assignments (e.g. investigations, special review) as and when required to do so.
  • Lead and manage audit assignments according to the audit objectives, established audit standards, approved Audit Plan and Audit Programs.
  • Examine and evaluate the activities of the audit areas to ensure the achievement of audit objectives based on the scopes stipulated in the Audit Planning Memorandum.
  • Supervise audit team to ensure that the audit work performed are being carried out continuously and confirm with the Internal Auditing Standards, policies and procedures.
  • Prepare final draft Audit Report in accordance with established standards of reporting to ensure quality and acceptable audit report format.
  • Perform peer review for audit assignments performed by other team (as applicable).
  • Assume responsibility of other relevant tasks as assigned from time to time.

skills & requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information System, Information Technology or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years related experience in similar capacity.
  • Good knowledge in IT Audit Processes, auditing techniques and IT technical e.g. IT network / application system.
  • Possess good analytical and communication skills.
  • Able to interact with people from all levels.
  • A team player.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Computer proficient especially in Microsoft Word/Excel, Powerpoint, Audit Command Language/IDEA.
  • Willing to travel (where necessary)
  • Appropriate knowledge in COBIT, BNM GPIS1.
  • Open to Malaysians with IT Audit/IT Risk/IT Compliance experiences only
