about the job
- Develop and optimise high performance Android applications that meets the industry and business standards
- Lead the end-to-end development of products within the Android application that align with the business goals
- Write high performance and scalable code that is easily maintained, efficient and is up to the standard coding practices
- Drive code reviews that optimise the mobile application to ensure high quality and functionality
- Work with cross-functional teams of developers, designers and product managers to define and conceptualise the end product as well as align on the timeline and requirements of deliverables
- Lead the testing, troubleshooting and debugging of application with the team to ensure high quality user experience
- Research, evaluate and implement the latest technology trends and tools within the current mobile development environment
- Actively participate and provide constructive input on improvement with existing processes, methodology and product within the technology space
must have requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Lead Mobile Developer with 5 years or more of hands-on experience using Java and Kotlin professionally
- Has experience leading a development team
- Experienced with RESTful API
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Possesses excellent communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant fields
nice to have requirements
- Knowledge of the entire Android set up, which includes architecture, design, testing and latest updates
- Familiar with Agile methodology
