about the role

Reporting to the ­­­­­­Infrastructure MD and managing over 30 direct reports. This role is primarily responsible for leading the successful maintenance of the infrastructure. Expert in asset management, risk management and e&m.

You will also be involved in business development and project biddings.


  • Lead the review, development and implementation of the units operation
  • Participating in the development, tendering and award of projects
  • Assigning resources to deliver works within budget, time, quality and regulatory standards
  • Monitoring and guiding workflow, setting daily, weekly, and long term project goals
  • Managing specialist functions of design, estimating, engineering, procurement and construction
  • Reviewing progress against plans, contractual arrangements, and delivery milestones
  • Financial management including ensuring strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting on costs and revenue, and taking corrective actions as required

skills and experience required

  • Asset management, maintenance and risk management capability
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or relevant discipline
  • 15 years+ site based experience, with 10 years in a project management role
  • The capacity to bridge several technical disciplines with a particular focus on rail, road, bridge, civil or tunnelling
  • Contractual, legal, commercial, industrial relations and legislative compliance
  • Advanced financial and commercial management skills including cost reduction and budgeting
  • People and performance management including the performance of sub-contractors or other project partners
  • Complex client and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to drive positive outcomes with key stakeholders
  • Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills

about the team/ manager

You will be reporting directly to the Board of Directors and completely accountable to the share price movement. The business is spearhead by you where you have a total headcount of 500 personnel.
