about the job

  • Cascade the business and mall operations strategy to annual operating plans that support strategic direction set by the CEO and correlate with annual operating budgets and submit annual plans to the CEO for approval
  • Report to the CEO on the progress of the mall operations; opportunities and key challenges faced by the tenants and facilities management departments
  • Monitor and report the progress on the implementation of the mall operations plans in accordance with corporate business strategy
  • Oversee the facilities management department and manage its compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Actively contribute and support the leasing and marketing departments in the implementation of the leasing and marketing objectives
  • Oversee the design standards and tenant’s utilization of areas/ zones within the mall building and facilities
  • Promote a culture that reflects the company’s values, encourages good performance, and rewards productivity
  • Anticipate mall/shopping industry trends and changes, scan external environment, review benchmarks, and develop models that will secure long term business position
  • Conduct and prepare the mall operations manpower requirements and headcount budget within the planning process
  • Take part in the tender committee for the selection of contractors, vendors, and suppliers as required for mall operations
  • Respond to complaints, comments, and issues raised by tenants, media and newspaper agencies, government and regulatory agencies, and/or mall visitors
  • Approve mall operations policies and procedures concerning the facilities management and tenant relations

about the manager/team

Reporting to the REIT Director, he is a hands-on person who has been in the industry for a substantial amount of years. He believes in delivering results with minimal supervision. The team works well and has good team spirit.

skills & experience required

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 20 years of M&E experience covering shopping mall and/or medical centre/hospital
  • Exemplary decision making and leadership skills
  • Good client management skills, capable of navigating difficult situations in a dynamic environment
