About the company

Your future employer is a manufacturer of packaged food products which corporate with a well-known public listed fast-food company. They have state of the art manufacturing facilities, where everything is automated. They are the 1st printing company in Malaysia that has fully automated lines with customer base in 21 countries.

About the job, you are required to

  • Ensuring effective standards/operating procedures are maintained and/or enhanced from the receiving/incoming of materials, during the in-process manufacturing stages as well as during the final outgoing stage for all products with clearly established tolerances critical control points and process limits, which meet customer, statutory, regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that accurate process controls/limits have been accurately identified which enable for process capability studies to be carried out by carrying out SPC studies and using relevant tools, for all product categories
  • Ensure that the QMS and all SOP’s strictly adhere to customer & statutory requirements, GMP, BRC Standards and Food Safety requirements and assisting in ensuring that continuous improvements are made to all existing systems and practices
  • Handling all customer complaints by preparing clear and concise reports within the established timeframes by co-ordinating with the required personnel and ensuring a full root cause analysis is carried out and proper corrective/preventive action is taken to address the issues
  • Generate weekly/monthly reports pertaining to quality issues identified in relation to the in-coming raw materials, in-process and outgoing product defects, process loss and yield, as well as GMP and 5S which will enable for the monitoring as well as identification of improvement areas
  • Arranging for the required quality meetings (weekly and monthly) to continually review, monitor and verify the quality performance of the company
  • Ensure all planned activities and audits are carried out in accordance with the annual Quality Calender whilst co-ordinating and/or effectively managing all internal, second party and third party audits

Requirement

  • Candidate must possess an Engineering or Quality Assurance background and ideally possess an LCCI diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
  • Good IT skills are essential for this role and experience in preparing excel reports, charts and using PowerPoint to present weekly qualities summaries are vital
  • Candidate must possess good interpersonal skills/ able to communicate well with all levels
  • Min 2 years experiences in manufacturing in chemical, FMCG, Plastics, Printing industries will be preferred
  • Experiences in setting up and implementing documented setting up and implementing documented standard procedures will be an advantage
  • Experiences in Quality Audits will also be an advantage
