As an Audit and Assurance Manager/Senior Manager specializing in the Financial Services Industry, you will play a critical role in leading and managing audit engagements for our clients in the banking, insurance, and asset management sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services while providing strategic insights to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Engagement Management:
- Lead and manage a portfolio of audit engagements for Financial Services clients.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute audit procedures in accordance with applicable auditing standards and regulations.
- Review financial statements, audit reports, and other deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional client service.
- Identify client needs and opportunities for additional services, cross-selling, and upselling.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor audit teams, including junior staff members.
- Provide guidance, training, and feedback to team members to foster their professional development.
Technical Expertise:
- Stay current with industry and regulatory developments in the Financial Services sector.
- Apply deep technical knowledge to address complex audit issues.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess risks on audit engagements and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with the firm's quality control procedures and audit methodologies.
Business Development:
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.
- Contribute to the growth of the Financial Services practice by identifying new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant audit experience in the Financial Services Industry, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and financial reporting for the Financial Services sector.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Business development experience is a plus
