About the company

Our client is a technology based BFSI company currently setting up a global share service center in Malaysia that will provide all infrastructure services to their sites across Asia


  • You will lead, manage and build a state of the art batch management team located in the Shared Services Centre in Kuala Lumpur
  • You will be responsible to provide oversight of batch execution, batch monitoring & support, batch scheduling and drive respective batch improvement across different platforms.
  • Work closely with the Change & Release Management, IT Operations, Capacity Management, Domain Infrastructure and Solution Delivery teams to define and agree on batch schedules, optimization plan and capacity requirements to sustain batch performance.
  • Ensures the production stability of batch services, enhance batch recovery efficiency for minimized business impacts and strive for continuous improvements to consistently meet business targets and optimize related costs.
  • The role will involve the creation of common standards for batch management practices across a number of platforms/technologies and engagement of tools for automation, monitoring and scheduling amongst different batch activities.
  • Transform batch management operations and drive batch process improvement to shorten batch windows, define precise dependency, automate manual actions and also optimize system resources usage, foster faster batch job resolution and automate ticket creation via Service Now.

Skills & Experience

  • University degree or post graduate degree level
  • 8+ years’ experience in batch management and 5 years leadership exposure
  • ITIL Service Management Foundation certification
  • Strong batch management experience across a variety of platform from front-end to back end covering new and legacy technologies
  • Experience in batch monitoring tools, batch scheduler and ticketing system such as Service Now
  • Batch performance tuning and analysis knowledge
  • Leadership, organizational and communication skills with the ability to drive different teams and different technical experts to ensure sufficient capacity to meet business objective
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English is a MUST
  • Autonomous, work independently with minimum supervision
