about the job
- Electrical System Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgears, motors, and control panels operating at 11kV.
- Troubleshooting and Fault Rectification: Identify electrical faults, perform troubleshooting activities, and rectify issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain uninterrupted power supply.
- Testing and Inspection: Perform regular testing and inspection of electrical systems to identify potential issues, verify performance, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Facility Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and repair of facility equipment, such as HVAC systems, lighting fixtures, plumbing systems, and other mechanical systems, as required.
- Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical and facility equipment to minimize breakdowns, reduce downtime, and extend equipment lifespan.
skill and experience required
- Chargeman Competency: Possess a valid Chargeman certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia (ST), specifically for the 11kV category.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge and experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems operating at 11kV, including switchgears, transformers, motors, and control panels.
- Electrical Safety: Strong understanding of electrical safety practices, regulations, and procedures, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Facility Maintenance Skills: Familiarity with general facility maintenance tasks, such as HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
