Client is leading payment infrastructure company in Malaysia, expanding their operations in Kuala Lumpur city, seeking for talents with Financial Services background.

about the job

  • Assists the Head of Compliance/Director of Risk and Compliance in the development, implementation and reviews of the Compliance Framework and annual Compliance Plan for Group;
  • Monitors, reviews and advises the compliance of Group to the relevant regulatory requirements such as Malaysian Laws, relevant Regulatory Guidelines, Supervisory Expectation, Group’s rules, operating procedures and standards; and
  • Monitors, reviews and advises Participants’ compliance to Group’s rules, operating procedures, requirements and relevant Regulatory Guidelines
  • Updates and maintains Group’s Compliance Framework
  • Implements, executes and updates Compliance Annual Plan
  • Conducts compliance awareness training program for Participants and Group staff
  • Arranges and conducts meetings with Participants and Group staff
  • To be aware of and uphold the security responsibilities as stated in the company’s Information Security Policy
  • To ensure all the information asset processing and day-to-day activities are based on the company’s Guidelines on Information Handling and Security Classification
  • Any other tasks or assignments as and when instructed by Head of Compliance or Director of Risk and Compliance

Internal Compliance

  • Researches and advises on laws, regulations and policies applicable to Group’s inclusive of Group’s products and services
  • Monitors and reviews compliance of Group’s to applicable laws, regulatory requirements and policies and identify gaps and develop action plans, if any
  • Provides recommendations and to ensure as far as possible the identified gaps are closed
  • Develops and implements compliance monitoring and reporting mechanism to check Group’s own compliance with the applicable laws, regulatory requirements, rules, operating procedures and policies
  • Follow up on actions required/preventive measures to be implemented by Group’s business teams to comply with the applicable laws, regulatory requirements, rules, operating procedures and policies
  • Provides guidance on proper application and interpretation of laws, regulations and policies applicable to the business if need arises

External Compliance

  • Monitors and reviews Participants’ compliance to Group’s rules, operating procedures and requirements
  • Conducts regulatory specific compliance reviews, and routine checks
  • Conducts mystery shopping for identified Group’s products/services, where applicable
  • Develops and implement compliance monitoring and reporting mechanism to check the Participants’ compliance with the applicable laws, regulatory requirements, rules, operating procedures and policies
  • Follow up on actions required/preventive measures to be implemented by Group’s participants to comply with the regulatory requirements
  • Prepares and present compliance reports for Management, Board and key stakeholders
  • Prepares correspondences to Participants and key stakeholders
  • Provides guidance on proper application and interpretation of laws, regulations and policies applicable to the Participants of Group’s products/services if need arises

Enterprise Risk Management

  • Understands and applies controls effectively to manage key risks and provides suggestions to improve the controls, wherever possible.
  • Promptly escalates risks and incidents to senior management in accordance to existing procedures.
  • Comply with relevant regulations, guidelines and procedures.

Appointment as Primary/Alternate RCO

  • Proactively support the development, management and prompt risk reporting of the Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity Management (BCM) Framework/Policy/Procedures for the department/function and sign off on all risk related documentations
  • Proactively support the identification, monitoring, reporting and implementation for the compliance of relevant regulations and guidelines applicable to the department/function.
