About the company

Our client is a public listed property developer with multiple buildings across Klang Valley. They develop and operate high-end complex commercial, retail, and residential portfolios in Malaysia.

Building Manager Job Duties:

  • Maintaining a safe environment with proper lighting, signage, and disability access
  • Drafting and updating emergency plans and evacuation procedures
  • Recommending and coordinating improvements to the property as needed to ensure a safe, functional, and appealing space.
  • Monitoring building maintenance budgets
  • Hiring employees or contractors as needed to maintain, repair, or improve the property
  • Overseeing contractors and inspecting completed jobs, supervising grounds staff
  • Providing training for building employees as needed
  • Evaluating employee performance and providing direction, correction, or additional training to ensure proper maintenance of the building
  • Resolving complaints, problems, and requests from building tenants

Building Manager Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in any related fields
  • Minimum 10 years facilities management with the last 3 years in managerial facilities
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Strong sense of responsibility, critical thinking, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with customer-centric mentality
