about the company

Our client is part of a conglomerate with over 1500 headcounts. Located strategically in KL, they are currently going through a systems integration and is looking for a dynamic individual to be part of their HR team.

about the role

  • This is a strategic payroll manager position.
  • You will have 1 direct report who will support you in managing end to end payroll
  • Your task will be from a strategic perspective whereby you will assist in preparing board papers, spearhead salary bench marking activities, manage road shows for C&B initiatives
  • You must be up to date with the market trends and be able to advise when upscale is required. Monitor and supervise staff for monthly payroll department operations
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Prepare Human Resources department board paper for top management approval
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
  • Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
  • Perform compliances for unclaimed property payroll checks
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary
