about the company

Our client is a mid-sized property development company with 3 high-rise residential projects across Klang Valley with a combined GDV in excess of RM900 million. The company plans to launch 3 new projects in the year 2021/2022.

about the job

  • Providing leadership, direction, and management to the finance and accounting team, covering property development and investment.
  • Providing strategic recommendations to the MD (owner), CEO, and members of the executive management team.
  • Managing the processes for treasury (fundraising/management), financial forecasting and budgets, cash-flow projections, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting.
  • Advising on long-term business and financial planning.
  • Provide commercial insight and leadership across the business in order to exceed business plan targets.
  • Responsible for ensuring the risk and compliance management framework is embedded and operational for the Group.
  • Establishing and developing relations with the senior management team, external partners, and stakeholders such as bankers and shareholders.

about the manager/team

Reporting to the CEO, he is a hands-on person who has been in the industry for a substantial amount of years. He believes in delivering results with minimal supervision. You will be managing a team of 10, covering 6 subsidiaries. The team works well and has a good team spirit.

skills & experience required

  • ACCA/CPA/Degree in Accounting with professional qualifications in CIMA, MIA, or MICPA.
  • Malaysian resident with a minimum of 20 years in financial accounting and management with at least 10 years of experience in a property development company managing project accounting and cash-flow projections.
  • Mature, analytical, creative, solution-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiating, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Possess excellent business acumen to interact well with shareholders, bankers, and the industry.
