about the company

Our client is an IT service provider that was established back in 2014. With its strong API integration and open source platforms, they have built a number of clients globally in Asia, Europe, and America.

Some of their reputable services include Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) and Messaging Solutions (A2P SMS and 2-Factor Authentication).

Some of the key responsibilities include troubleshooting web and backend technology. The Support Engineer works closely with various teams within the company, including 3rd level and product engineering teams.



about the job

responsibilities:

  • Taking responsibility on deployments belonging to one of the standard deployment patterns.
  • Ensuring process are in place (checklists, escalation processes, SLA, best practices)
  • Leading and automating change management of the deployments
  • Leading and automating configuration management across deployments (preventive maintenance and vendor extension configuration).
  • Serving as the go to person for the deployments of a particular pattern.
  • Tracking production system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits.
  • Talking to clients through a series of actions, via JIRA, remote conferences, email or chat, until they’ve solved a technical issue.
  • To be able to travel to customer’s site within short notice.

requirements:

  • 3 year industry experience
  • Previous experience in WSO2 technologies is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Open Source software
  • Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure platforms
  • Experience with performance management, monitoring, and problem identification and resolution
  • Knowledge and experience in Virtualization/Cloud technologies
  • Sound scripting and language skills with pearl/python/ruby are a must
  • The ability to be able to troubleshoot complex technical problems
  • Work unsupervised on several activities concurrently, taking ownership and prioritizing accordingly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
