About the role

As the Construction Director, you will report to the CEO and manage Project Directors. Your tasks are as follows:

• # 1 person responsible for all site and project progress
• Leading multiple Project Managers and Multiple Sites
• Escalation point for all major technical changes and contractual issues, Running the P&L of the project / multiple project sites
• Reporting to the CEO and board on all matters relating to construction, P&L and Reporting linked to the project
• Execution of all projects on time and on budget Ensuring Quality Safety on site
• Strategic planning of manpower and resources Seeking efficiencies of what work to do in house and what to sub contract
• Working closely with the Development team to look at new projects Happy to work ‘hands on” and visit site when necessary
• Work with the CEO to streamline business process Look for efficiencies in Design / Value Engineering / Procurement that can contribute to the bottom line

Skills and Responsibilities:

• Qualifications:Qualified Engineer (Civil or Construction Management)
• Must Have:20+ Years total work experience, this can be split across Main Contractor / Consultancy / Developer but 10+ needs to be with a Main Contractor / In house Main Contractor.
• Experience with large scale building (highrise) projects with GDV over RM500m
• Role would suit ambitious Project Directors ready for step up or those already at GM / COO level.
• Happy to work hands on and go to site to ensure quality / timeliness / progress
