The Role

Overall responsibility for the Core Operations business including driving strategic direction, performance and ensuring the business unit adheres to firm policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements. Establishing and driving a strong engagement and governance model across the business is a key requirement and developing process and practices that meet Client business objectives and set a clear strategy that is developed and communicated across the team.

Duties

  • Set the strategic core operations direction to support the business in terms of products, segments, channel and franchise
  • Plan and ensure effective and efficient management of Core Operations
  • Develop and co-ordinate between various business functions group to ensure execution/implementation of the business plan
  • Ensure compliance and conformance to regulatory ruling and corporate policies/procedures and its relevant control
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place to manage the operational risk , information security , outsourcing and other related risk in carrying out the functions
  • Drive process efficiency, standardization and common practices across the team aligning this with the regional standards
  • Be innovative in order to embed best in class operations processes that fulfill customer promise
  • Ensure high accuracy of all regulatory reports and their timely submission
  • Ensure financials target are met to deliver the country’s plan numbers, and pro-actively look into initiatives to provide additional opportunities

Skills & Experience

  • At least 15 years of relevant working experience
  • Knowledge of the Consumer environment
  • Strong knowledge of retail financial products and services, including and not limited to credit card and loans, payment instruments , investment/wealth management products
  • Excellent client skills and strong stakeholder management
  • Strong people management and interpersonal skill
