about our client

our client is a market leading MNC in the niche markets. They pride themselves in possessing a long history in pyrotechnics R&D and manufacturing, with a wide range of technologies. As their presence in Malaysia is seeing a significant growth, they are seeking a Senior Corporate Planning Executive, to join their finance team.

about the role

achieving the company’s objectives through financial planning, analysis and implementation of improvements, in order to enhance company's productivity and competitiveness.

  • Responsible for providing financial analysis and reports on Business Plan, Financial Statement, Product Costing, General/Subsidiary Ledgers and other associated financial data/information.
  • Responsible for preparing Business Plan including Sales Plan, Variable Cost, Fixed Cost, Financial Statements and other associated reports and supporting documents.
  • Responsible for providing financial analysis and reports on tax-related matters including Tax Planning, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, GST and other associated activities.
  • Responsible for providing assistance for projects, Cost Reduction and ERP system-related activities.
  • Responsible for providing assistance for Year-end Financial Audit, Tax Audit and other audit activities.
  • Responsible for providing assistance for implementation, maintenance and enhancement of CPA-related policies, procedures & practices.
  • Responsible for undertaking other ad-hoc projects/activities that might be assigned by Head of CPA and/or Management.
  • Responsible for undertaking other necessary functions determined by Head of CPA and/or Management.

skills & requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least an MBA Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting (MIA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Candidate must have experience of at least 5 years experience. Manufacturing industry experience is desired
  • Must be well-organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of local GAAP
  • Knowledge of Management Accounting principles & practices
  • Knowledge of Costing (Total Costing and Direct Costing) principles & practices
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point
  • Skills to guide/supervise junior executives
  • Ability to write reports and policy, procedure, guideline, manuals
  • Ability to analyses and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedure and government regulations.
