Randstad is partnering with a MNC company that specialize in car manufacturing. The company is going through the localization process and seeking for a Deputy Head of Purchasing to be part of their team.

about the job

• Define and implement Purchasing strategy for goods, parts, and services of the company Malaysia business unit, in particular. Build supplier panel and drive supplier relationship to insure best QCD (Quality, Cost
  and Delivery).
• Assess and ensure suppliers quality at best performance in development, in the fields, in
  mass production and on delivery service to Malaysia business unit, Continuously improve cost competitiveness of products and services during the whole life cycle.
• Guarantor of the Purchasing strategy for each commodity in order to take into account evolutions of the
  technical requirements, costs ambitions of Malaysia business unit, and the local context in order to guarantee
  the best localization cost.
• In charge of the respect of this contract under development, during mass production and Aftersales.
• To ensure the achievement of the economic performance targets of Malaysia business unit and specifies
  adequate strategies.
• To ensure the respect of the project targets in term of costs, CAPEX, ED&D, capacity and planning at the
  supplier choice and under development.
• To select, deploy and achieve saving opportunities in order to respect plant targets in terms of fixed cost and variable cost.

skill/experience

• Post Graduate Degree, preferably in Supply Chain/ Logistics/ Operations or equivalent
• Must have experience in working in a car manufacturing company and involve in localization process.
• At least 10-12 years relevant experience in purchasing and managing a team.
• Good analytical and communication skills
• Possess supervisory experience
