Randstad is partnering with a US based MNC company that specialize in packaging manufacturing. The company is growing rapidly and starting up their first APAC plant in Malaysia. The company is looking for a talented Engineering Manager to be part of their growing team.
about the team:
You will be reporting to the plant director directly and work closely with the regional technical team that is based in Singapore. You will responsible for hiring and forming a team of inhouse engineering team in Malaysia.
duties and responsibility:
... - The Engineering Manager will continuously improve the safety, quality, and efficiency of the plant’s manufacturing processes in order to meet or exceed customer expectations and operational goals.
- Design new systems and processes to deliver Six Sigma process capability levels. Improve existing process capability levels through thoughtful analysis and investments in new equipment and upgrades to existing processes.
- Provide manufacturing insight and project deliverables to new or modified product projects and ensure timely transition into manufacturing, with consideration to robust design, cost effectiveness and process validation.
- Prepare thoughtful departmental and capital budgets.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team and the packaging
processes. - Responsible for leadership and effective management of the Engineers’ team to ensure priorities and performance are aligned with the company’s strategic direction.
skill/experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Printing Technology or closely related field.
- At Least 10 year working experience in manufacturing environment. Experience working in the packaging industry will be considered as an added advantage
- Prior experience involving in greenfield projects for plant start up will be advantageous.
- Very strong mechanical and electrical skills including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC),hydraulics and pneumatics.
