about the company

about the job

  • Ensure profitable and efficient execution of all food production and the overall success of the daily kitchen operations
  • Lead and coach the kitchen team to achieve the highest standards of food production with a true desire to exceed guest expectations
  • Working continuously to improve guest satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance of the kitchen department
  • Ensure that food preparation is in accordance with menus ensuring a high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all times according to agreed standards
  • Aware and understands company’s sourcing policy are in line with agreed specifications, monitors ordering of food product, quality and consistency on a daily basis ensuring financial performance are in line to control and manage the agreed budget food cost of the department
  • Evaluate the skills of the kitchen staffs and conduct training if required
  • Responsible for meeting the company’s ISO standards concerning food safety handling, sanitation and health program, kitchen safety and regulatory controlling procedures, ensuring strict adherence to the regulations where applicable

about the manager/team

Reporting to the GM - Operations, he is a hands-on person who has been in the industry for a substantial amount of years. He believes in delivering results with minimal supervision. The team works well and has a good team spirit.

skills & experience required

  • 5 years’ working experience in a 5-star hotel or similar setup
  • Degree/Diploma in Culinary Arts or similar discipline
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A resourceful and results orientated person with creative solutions to challenges
