job description

about our client

our client is a manufacturing MNC originating from central Europe, and are market leaders in the industry having been around for over 40 years. Their growing presence in Malaysia, requires an addition to their Finance team. The Finance & Accounts Executive reports to the General Manager of Finance & Administration.

about the role

  • Handle full set of accounts, General Ledger postings for Balance Sheet, and P&L
  • Autonomously update and maintain the Accounts Receivable and the Accounts Payable accounts
  • Support on Treasury Management, staff expenses claim reimbursements and petty cash
  • Conduct monthly bank and General Ledger reconciliations
  • Produce regular reports and analysis on costs and revenues
  • Provide support in financial analysis, cash-flow management/planning, month-end closing of P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Provide support on manufacturing costing analysis and monitor office expenditures
  • Liaising with auditors and tax authorities when required
  • Ensuring compliance with GST and tax requirements are met
  • Support other company functions in ad-hoc analysis
  • Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and ensure the systems are maintained and updated on a regular basis
  • Undertake any other tasks and / or responsibilities that may be assigned by the management

skills & requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting or currently pursuing a professional accounting certification
  • At least 2 years working experience in accounting/finance and administrative support
  • Computer literate and possesses an advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Previous or current experience with SAP FI/CO is a must
  • Good understanding of booking procedures
  • Knowledge of GST is desirable
  • Responsible and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • A strong work ethic in maintaining confidentiality and constantly driving teamwork
  • Strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to multitask
