The Company
An international Technology based Pharma MNC, headquartered in Singapore with a strong global presence in the market is reaching out to competent potentials for a Finance Manager,as they now embark on setting up their organization in Malaysia.A fresh start up looking for an individual thats independant and hands on.Have the opportunity to be a pioneer for them and grow their team exponentially.

About the role

  • Set up local Finance structure, including recruitment process
  • Set up Finance processes with robust control procedures including oversight in Malaysia
  • Devise and implement payment solutions for Malaysia entity to process claims payable to providers on behalf of clients
  • Devise and implement billing processes to clients and subsequent reconciliations to revenue recognition
  • Liaise with banks in Malaysia to build banking relationships and generate better pricing for transactional banking for local entity
  • Work with both banking providers, inhouse operations and IT department and within Finance to automate payment and receipt processes using host-to-host or API
  • Liaise with implementers as main user generating business requirements for ERP deployment both for local entity and group entity
  • Investigate, propose and recommend technological and process improvements as required.
  • Manage the company and group monthly reporting process
  • Prepare group consolidations and maintain group consolidated accounts
  • Prepare group management and statutory reports, including financial analysis of the business
  • Assist the Group CFO in monthly management meetings, including preparation of Group's monthly management report and reporting package
  • Set up and manage group budgeting process
  • Liaise with external auditors in annual financial audit and statutory reporting for the Group
  • Up-keep the Group's financial policies in aligning to international accounting and auditing standards as well as local statutory guidelines
  • Assist the Group CFO to roll out group-wide initiatives in the areas of corporate governance, internal control, group policy and enterprise risk management
  • Assist the Group CFO in other group projects

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree qualified in Accountancy and/or ACCA/CPA qualified
  • 3-6 years of hands on accounting experience
  • Able to demonstrate ability to work effectively both as an individual and member of a team
  • Meticulous, responsible, diligent, mature with keen eye for details
  • Candidates with commercial experience in handling full sets of accounts in a sole contributor role will have an added advantage.
  • Candidates with start up experience will be also very desirable.
