about the job
Our client is currently looking for a Senior Finance Manager / Associate Finance Director and this role directly reports to the Finance Director. This role expects you to:
- Be the 2IC to the Finance Director if needed and be able to step in if necessary
- Undertake the annual audit and prepare financial accounts, including group consolidated accounts, and actively working hand in hand with the audit and compliance team to ensure all statutory reporting are done in a timely manner
- Manage core accounting team and implement efficient processes for the AR, AP, GL and Bank Recon functions, and to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Ensure financial standards are in compliance with all internal policies, accounting standards, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements within the scope of financial management
- Continuously finding ways to improve management accounting functions and reporting systems, to develop, improve and recommend solutions for the team and management
- Preparation and review of periodic plans, including production of budgets, forecasts and capital expenditure. Prepare rolling forecasts of cashflow, P&L, and balance sheet.
- Able to lead a team of people to ensure they are able to grow
- Head and drive trust reconciliation projects. Maintain knowledge of trust accounting processes and keep abreast of trust account balances
- Providing business acumen for PowerBI reporting and regular data reviews and performing commercial analysis and identify opportunities for performance improvement
- Perform business analysis and provide trends and forecasts and able to maintain commercial knowledge in acquiring bank/payment facilitator.
- Able to build and manage relations with banks and payment facilitators
- Strong in areas of reconciliation (Data Recon, Bank Recon)

- You will be reporting to the Finance Director, who is extremely helpful in providing guidance and believes in achieving fixed results in a timely manner
skills & experience required
- Degree qualified or completion of CMA, CPA, CA or equivalent
- 10+ years of work experience in Financial Services or similar industry
- Advanced MS Office Skills and is proficient with data query/data management tools
- Experience in Oracle Cloud Fusion
- Exposure towards the APAC region
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to handle stakeholder relations
- Consulting / Audit exposure is highly appreciated
