about our client

With a strong heritage of being in the FMCG industry for over half a century, our client is the leading suppliers of their signature products. They are currently looking for a Finance Analyst to join their Finance and Accounts Division

about the role

In a team of 3, the Financial Analyst will be reporting directly to the Reporting & Compliance Manager.

  • Coordinate and communicate with the sales team to ensure all promotional activities for the period are captured and accounted for in the financial statements.
  • Work with accounts receivable to ensure deductions are properly applied to promotion accruals
  • Understand and ensure policies and procedures are adhered to, meet month end close and project timelines and liaise with sales and accounting teams on issues and concerns
  • Review and highlight on any overspending and irregularities on trade spend by customer
  • Perform month end closing on trade spend
  • Perform month end variance analysis of trade spend and tier discount by conveying the correct message to the superior and commercial team on the overall spending status
  • Create data collection templates, disseminating, collecting, summarizing and assessing of data on trade spend
  • Analyses of business variance drivers, initiate corrections with responsible function on trade spend and tier discount
  • Manage and handle dispute claims on trade spend by customer
  • Provide process improvements and ad hoc analysis as well as work on special projects
  • Embed company’s core value, key success factor (speed, focus, innovation) and Operational Goals (Quality, Productivity & Consistency) throughout all business directions and day to day operations.

your profile

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
  • Min 2 years’ experience in Finance related field
  • Working experience within the FMCG or Manufacturing industries, would be an added advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills for building strong relationships and relates well with others to drive results.
  • Strong analytical mind and understanding of financial planning for the company
  • Good problem solving capability
  • Computer Skills ( PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
