Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Month-end and Year-end Closing: Lead or participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial records are reconciled, journal entries are posted, and accounts are finalized.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
Account Reconciliation: Perform regular account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues, ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries for various financial transactions, such as accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement. Provide insights to support decision-making.
Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements, both locally and internationally, as applicable.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Tax departments, to ensure smooth financial operations.
Data Management: Manage and maintain financial data, including transaction records, supporting documents, and historical financial data.
Technical Expertise: Stay updated on accounting standards, financial regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and provide expert guidance.
It'll be good if you are
- Qualification as a Chartered Accountant would be an added advantage.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge in SAP / Oracle / Microsoft D365 would be highly preferred.
- Good comunication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized and process detail oriented.
