We are currently looking for a Halal & Regulatory Affairs Associate to join an internationally recognised manufacturing company in the cosmetics and personal care industry, with a legacy of over 80 years internationally. They have expanded their business to Malaysia and are now on a mission to grow their business through collaboration with their international HQ and this person will be working closely with the regional team to achieve that success. This role requires your urgent attention.

the role

• Handle halal assessment for all raw materials and end product.
• Plan and run internal audits to ensure Halal compliance.
• Handling submission and registration for raw materials and products via JAKIM’s portal.
• Work closely together with regulatory authorities and regularly update the management team with any new developments in the Halal field.

the experience

• Experience in a Halal regulatory affairs role ideally from the cosmetics or food industry
• Diploma/degree from a science field ideally with a background in Chemistry.
• Highly motivated and a great relationship builder who is able to work closely with the internal and external team both locally and internationally.
• IFRA knowledge will be an added advantage.
