Job Summary: As a Head of Analytics, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining statistical models, organizing company and external data, and delivering analytical insights to enhance business performance, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
Portfolio Analytics:
- Collect and analyze extensive and unstructured data sets from multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain efficient machine learning algorithms to identify key trends and actionable insights.
- Visualize and present insights to stakeholders and management.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of analytical models and recommend improvements.
Business Improvement:
- Identify and originate ideas for business improvement.
- Design and implement company process improvement plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement new/enhanced workflows to optimize company operating efficiency.
- Create and monitor the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the implemented projects.
Reporting & Other Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present reports to management.
- Automate and enhance the company's data extraction process.
- Provide support to other departments.
- Assist in special projects assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- A degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science.
- Minimum of 7 years of working experience in the analytical field.
- Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software, e.g., Python, R, or SAS.
- Excellent understanding of machine learning algorithms, data manipulation techniques, and advanced statistical techniques.
- Result-oriented with a strong commitment to achieving goals.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI is a plus.
The salary for this role is competitive, with the opportunity to earn up to RM20,000 per month, commensurate with your qualifications and experience.
