One of the largest bank in Papua New Guinea is seeking to fill a renewable 3-year contract position within its technology team of 80. The IT structure follows classic roles including security, service delivery, a project office, and an application team. The Head of the Application's team primarily focuses on support, with delivery responsibilities handled by another team. Onsite development is minimal, as most development tasks are outsourced to vendors. The application team consists of 10 people, some of whom are Malaysian. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a structured IT environment while collaborating with a diverse team and managing key technological functions across the bank’s branches and ATMs.

Core Banking Expertise: Strong background and knowledge in core banking applications is essential.
Preferred Experience: Experience with Infopro or ICBA core banking systems is preferred, but other core banking technologies are also considered.
Banking Platform Skills: Demonstrated skills in banking platforms are required.
Leadership and Improvement: Must have a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to drive and lead a team effectively.
Communication and Documentation: Solid communication skills in English and strong documentation abilities are crucial.

Contract and Salary: 3-year renewable contract with monthly salary up to RM65,000, paid fortnightly.
Relocation Package: Includes housing, utilities, club membership, company car, and annual flight home.
Additional Benefits: 6-8% bonus and 10-15% shares, approximately AUD 22,000 worth.
Family Accommodation: Family can relocate together; housing, vehicle, and utilities covered, but school fees are not.
