about the company

Our client is a public listed property developer with involvement in residential and commercial projects.

about the job

Responsible for setting up the vision and direction of the overall credit administration functions for the company’s local and overseas projects. This includes sales administration and leasing credit control functions. Work closely with Group Legal Department to review the sales and corporate contracts.

  • Managing 5 direct reports, each of them will be managing a few projects with a dedicated support team for each project.
  • Establish a new credit administration department for new projects both locally and overseas.
  • Devise and streamline credit administration work processes, internal control systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure credit administration control and processes complies with the relevant statutory requirement.
  • Devise and strategize effective credit control management and formulate strategies to mitigate business risks.
  • Lead the evolvement of the department computer system and identify dynamic solutions for business needs.
  • Explore dynamic solutions in support of the finance division direction to meet the company’s budgetary planning.
  • Review and analyze contracts and marketing schemes, recommend measures to mitigate risks where necessary, and ensure established relevant internal controls are channeled to the team.
  • Provide law and regulatory research and update to management.
  • Strategize manpower/resource planning and management to promote high-efficiency people allocation with adequate skills, knowledge, and experience to manage business sub-units.
  • Identify, focus, and develop high potential staff for people development and promote people retention.

about the manager/team

Reporting to the Head of Finance, he is a hands-on person who has been in the industry for more than 25 years. The management style of the HOD is macro-management and believes in delivering results with minimal supervision. The team works well and has a good team spirit working under him.

skills & experience required

  • Local Malaysian with a Degree in Business Administration, Management or Law or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of sales and credit administration experience in a property development company OR minimum 15 years of experience managing SPA and tenancy agreements as a practicing lawyer.
  • Good management and leadership skills.
  • Team player, assertive and self-motivated.
