Our client is a distribution and claims management business for specialised insurance products underwritten by local general insurance companies. They are currently looking for an individual contributor who will be responsible for end-to-end accounting/finance for the Group covering 4 SEA countries.
about the job
- Manage all financial, management and group reporting, including Board reports.
- Senior team member to help drive and support growth.
- Drive the annual financial planning process.
- Ensure the accurate and timely production of financial analysis, performance measurement, cashflows and forecasts.
- Custodian of effective internal controls that comply with the requirements of the commercial business, auditors, and financial services legislation.
- Liaise with management, external auditors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with tax, statutory reporting, and insurance regulations.
about the manager/team
This is an individual contributor role. You will be reporting to the Chairman and CEO, the Chairman is a qualified accountant while the CEO is an insurance professional. They believe in delivering results with minimal supervision.
skills & experience required
- CPA or ACCA professional qualifications.
- Local Malaysian with a minimum of 3 years of management experience in managing cross-border accounting transactions and consolidations.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders and senior management team with solid business knowledge and financial insights.
- A proactive team player who adopts a pragmatic approach to working with cross-functional teams to collaborate and support business growth.
- Self-motivated, can work and manage resources remotely.
