about the company

Our client is a home grown retail company whose business is expanding throughout the country. They have been around for close to 10 years in the industry.

About the role

Reporting directly to the owner, you are to manage the Human Resources function and to focus on the following:

  • Develops and administers various human resources policies and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Advises management on recruitment and retention strategies and works with management to develop these and other relevant strategies.
  • Manages the compensation & benefits scheme and ensures an equitable and competitive remuneration structure is in place to attract and retain the right candidates.
  • Manages the employer / employee relations and communication to maximise on-going productivity and efficiency without deteriorating relationships.
  • Coordinates the training & development function for all employees for the purpose of on-going skill development to meet business requirements
  • Supporting with manpower planning for the coming year

skills & experience required

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, HR management or any field related
  • Minimum of 8 years of related working experience in HR working
  • Strong communication skills
  • Well organized
  • Team player mentality is extremely important in this role
  • Ability to work independently
