the ideal candidate should possess in-house experience (candidates without in-house experience with strong conveyancing or real estate/property development background will be considered). candidate should be capable of decision-making and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
key responsibilities:
1. Legal Leadership: Provide expert legal leadership and guidance to the Group's business units, offering insights that align with overall business strategies.
2. Real Estate and Contract Oversight: Supervise the drafting, review, and revision of various agreements and contracts pertinent to the Group's real estate and property sales activities. Ensure that legal terms and conditions are accurately represented and aligned with the organisation's interests.
3. External Collaboration: Act as the main liaison with external legal firms for any litigation matters. Collaborate closely with external legal teams to develop effective legal strategies and oversee legal proceedings.
4. Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive analysis of legal risks associated with Group’s operations. Identify potential legal challenges and devise proactive risk management solutions to safeguard the Group's interests.
5. Legal Compliance: Stay current with legal developments that impact the Group's industries Lead efforts to ensure the organisation's adherence to evolving legal frameworks.
the candidate must possess the requirements below:
1. Legal Expertise: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws and regulations,
particularly those within the real estate industry, such as the Housing Development Act and the Companies Act.
2. Stakeholder Management: Exhibit exceptional stakeholder management skills, conveying complex legal concepts to a diverse audience in a clear and understandable manner.
3. Language Proficiency: Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, enabling effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
