    about the job

    • Reviewing, negotiating, and administering legal and transactional documentation including land SPA, asset purchase agreements, share subscription agreements, shareholders/distribution agreements, etc.
    • Perform legal research and keep abreast of the applicable laws and regulations to minimise the risk exposure and enhance commercial in accordance with statutory requirements.
    • Draft, review, advise, and negotiate agreements/contracts in relation to project development activities including sales and purchase agreements, tenancy, settlement agreements etc.
    • Manage and monitor litigation matters (if any) including dispute resolution and legal advisory work, reviewing cause papers, and liaising with external solicitors while providing regular updates to the Senior Management.
    • Overseeing company secretarial matters including the board of directors and shareholders resolution and administrative tasks.

    about the manager/team

    Reporting to the Project General Manager. He is technically sound and supportive. You’ll be part of the management team, and the team works well.

    skills & experience required

    • Degree in Law from a recognised university.
    • Minimum of 5 years of working experience with a minimum of 3 years in covering construction/property development contracts.
    • Ability to travel locally (+/- 300km), company car and driver will be provided.
    • Excellent command of Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin. This role will require periodical liaison with the mainland Chinese.
    • Motivated and has good interpersonal skills with the ability to advise publicly listed companies on legal matters.
