about the company

one of the reputable banks in the nation is currently expanding their operations thus is looking for motivated, assertive, and confident banking internal audit professional to be part of the fun, energetic and not to mention dynamic team of theirs.

about the role

as the Head Office/Operations auditor, your duty is to ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examine records, reports, operating practices and documentation. You will be auditing departments such as HR, Secretariat, Legal, Compliance, Risk and etc.

duties

  • Assist the Chief Internal Auditor and Section Head in the preparation of the Annual Audit Plan to ensure that the Department has a definite plan for the year.
  • Lead and manage audit assignments according to the audit objectives, established audit standards, approved Audit Plan and Audit Programs.
  • Examine and evaluate the activities of the audit areas to ensure the achievement of audit objectives based on the scopes stipulated in the Audit Planning Memorandum.
  • Supervise audit team to ensure that the audit work performed are being carried out continuously and confirm with the Internal Auditing Standards, policies and procedures.
  • Prepare final draft Audit Report in accordance with established standards of reporting to ensure quality and acceptable audit report format.
  • Perform peer review for audit assignments performed by other team (as applicable).
  • Assume responsibility of other relevant tasks as assigned from time to time.

skills & requirements

  • Degree holder or other equivalent qualifications
  • 5 years’ experience in Audit/Compliance function within Financial industry
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Exhibit leadership qualities, able to effectively manage a team of auditors and work independently
  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal skill to handle audit clients
  • Possess strong analytic skill and ability to perform risk assessment on banking processes
  • Organised, systematic, meticulous and good time management
  • Resourceful and have good problem handling abilities
  • Possess initiative and ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Open to Malaysians only
