Job Purpose:
- Manage the company’s investment portfolio, focusing on maximizing returns while ensuring compliance with risk management policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development and execution of investment strategies that align with the company’s financial objectives and long-term goals.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities, trends, and risks.
Job Responsibilities:
Investment Strategy and Execution:
- Portfolio Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of the company’s investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and risk tolerance.
- Investment Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis and due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including equities, fixed income, real estate, and other asset classes.
- Strategy Implementation: Assist in the implementation of investment strategies, including asset allocation, portfolio diversification, and rebalancing, to optimize returns and manage risks.
- Market Research: Stay informed on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes, providing insights and recommendations to the senior management team.
Risk Management:
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate and monitor the risks associated with the company’s investment portfolio, implementing appropriate risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all investment activities comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements, particularly those set by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Bursa Malaysia.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on portfolio performance, market conditions, and investment activities for senior management and the Board of Directors.
Stakeholder Management:
- Client Relations: Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, analysts, and regulatory bodies, ensuring transparent and effective communication on investment performance and strategy.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including finance, legal, and compliance, to ensure seamless and compliant execution of investment strategies.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor junior investment analysts, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Training: Identify training needs and opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in investment management and financial analysis.

- Investment Performance: Deliver strong financial performance across the company’s investment portfolio, contributing to the overall profitability and growth of the company.

Qualifications:
Education/Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CFP, or similar are highly preferred.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in investment management, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Proven track record of managing investment portfolios with strong performance and risk management.
- In-depth knowledge of the Malaysian financial market, including investment products, market trends, and regulatory frameworks.
