About The Role

You will be responsible for providing guidance to business when it comes to advising and interpreting policies and controls related to Operational Risk. The employer is looking for a Risk Professional that possess excellent communication, strong leadership qualities and people's skill to support the strategic expansion business mainly focused in Operational Risk. You will be reporting straight to Head Of Department.


  • You will be conducting and/or review the Operational Risk assessment through implementation of tools, suggest recommendation for risk mitigation and follow upon the status of action plan to ensure the identified risk is assessed, evaluated, managed and reported
  • You will be conducting and/or review the operational risk assessment with regards to proposals for new products and services by providing opinions and risk mitigation or recommendations in order to have quality and acceptable products and services
  • You will review and ensure operational risk framework, the associated policies and procedures are effectively embedded and communicated
  • You will the point of contact and/or reference for embedded operational risk function within business

    Skills & Experience
  • Degree in Accountancy / Banking / Finance / Law / Business Administration, or other appropriate degree / professional qualifications.
  • 3 - 5 years working experience in the field of Operational Risk preferably in the financial industry.
  • Candidates with experience in Business/ Functional/ IT lines will have an added advantage
  • A clear understanding of Operational Risk Management approaches by financial institution
  • Has the relevant supervisory skills and problem-solving skills including comfortable tackling complex problems and breaking these down into manageable pieces
  • Ability to leverage resources across the organisation to complete deliverables
  • Ability to influence, constructively challenge and negotiate at all levels
  • Good PowerPoint skills and at least intermediate Excel Skills
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
