about the job

As the National Account Manager, you will be working closely with the General Manager to strategize for developing new business and maintain the current business across these channels: retail, HORECA, food manufacturer and bakery. Job responsibilities include:

  • Identify new opportunities that will deliver sales growth and produce a robust commercial proposal for turning opportunities into sales.
  • Identify and monitor the benefits delivers to the customer (eg in terms of sales growth, profitability, NPD development & execution etc). Incorporate these insights into business planning and ensure we gain maximum benefit from them.
  • Identify NPD opportunities and focus on “point of difference” and Added value products – identified in the strategy
  • Project Management of new products, launches and business development.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing and potential customers. this will include Category Manager, Buyers, NPD Managers, Supply Chain managers and Operational management (In the stores)
  • Prioritise customers by growth potential, volume.
  • Forecasting – responsible for providing accurate information.
  • Stock Management – Work closely with supply chain to ensure category products are managed to avoid rework / stock write off.

skills and experience required

  • 10 years of sales management experience within food ingredients manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of sales, marketing, warehouse management, product management
  • Demonstrated success in sales and marketing team leadership and development
  • The interpersonal dexterity and executive influencing skills to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders of different cultures
  • First class strategic, analytical and commercial abilities
