about the job
This is a newly created position to spearhead the set up of a new production line in the Northern region of Malaysia, and to oversee the operations activities according to company direction. Key areas of responsibilities include: supply chain management, production management and working with cross functional department in achieving optimum output with high efficiency and low cost control while ensuring that necessary training are provided for team development.
about the manager/team
You will be reporting to the Operations Director while working with an existing fabrication team with a production manager. You will have the opportunity to manage a sizeable team of up to 100 headcount.
about the requirement
- Experience in "supplier" environment and demonstrated leadership in driving lean/continuous improvement to maximise customer satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation as well as external stakeholder management.
- Able to drive operations team by financial and operational objectives.
- Some travelling within Malaysia & internationally is required
