about the role ::
- You will need to source, negotiate and purchase raw materials and packaging from both local and overseas vendors.
- You have to plan out the purchasing schedule of raw materials and packaging in sync with the Supply Chain team.
- You have to evaluate the vendor's quotation in regards to technical and commercial specifications.
- You will need to evaluate vendor performance based on quality standards, delivery time and best prices.
- You have to develop strong relationships with both business stakeholders and various vendors to improve business.
about the team ::
You will report directly to the CEO of the company who used to work for an American MNC in Food Manufacturing. You will also alias members of the Supply Chain team of the company with regards to your role.
skills & experience ::
- You possess 1+ to 4 years working experience in a Procurement/Buyer related position coming from Food/FMCG/Manufacturing background.
- You have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Food Science or other relevant fields.
- You are someone who is comfortable in communicating professionally with both stakeholders and suppliers.
- You have an eye for detail and good data management skills.
- You are proficient with ERP systems and have solid organisational skills.
