The Company
An international MNC, headquartered in the UK with a strong global presence in the market is reaching out to competent potentials for an Strategic Procurement Manager to join their team .

About the role

  • Leads the procurement function and oversees all aspects of purchasing, negotiations, strategy, tool and process implementation for procurement related to goods and services
  • Engage and interact with Business Leaders in developing budget & savings initiatives
  • Increase and Maximize Spend Penetration Opportunities, Strategic/Savings Initiatives
  • Responsible to review, draft and negotiate corporate, commercial and technical agreements
  • Provide compliance support to the business units, which will include advising on all pre-contract and post contract issues and recommending commercial solutions.
  • To re-structure / develop procurement policy and procedure base on “best practice” for the Company to improve procurement process more effectively.
  • To form good supplier relationship and ensure proper feedback to management on issues relating to delivery, cost and technical changes.
  • To generate reports as required by the Department to provide adequate information on the status of project / procurement activities and compliance update.
  • Ensure Company’s procurements are in line with the Procurement Standard Operating Procedure and Policy also the Code of Conducts.
  • Negotiates favorable contractual terms and conditions for with suppliers.
  • Delivers on cost reduction commitments through the identification, development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Develops and implements efficiencies, standardized tools, practices and procedures shortening the quotation, RFP and decision making and evaluation time.
  • Vendor Management, Contract Management & Project Management


The Successful Applicant

Formal Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Studies, Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • Member of CIPS preferred

Experience:

Min 5 years’ experience in Procurement function and strong exposure in strategic procurement.

Personal Qualities:

  • Strong leadership, ambitious, energetic with strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Strive for excellence and success
