about the job
- Oversee the entirety of engineering activities for capital projects, ensuring a smooth process from development to commissioning.
- Develop and execute the project's comprehensive Engineering and Design Execution Strategy.
- Manage departmental engineering budgets, guiding internal resources for punctual and budget-compliant deliverables.
- Make crucial technical decisions to resolve conflicts and ensure top-notch engineering results.
- Coordinate with clients and third-party representatives, supervising the examination of specifications.
- Play a central role in managing scope, schedule, and quality throughout the project's lifespan.
- Offer strategic insights into project budgets and contribute to crafting project-specific instructions.
- Supervise procurement and subcontracting, ensuring technical clarity and adherence.
- Address interface challenges within the engineering team and with external project members.
- Promote cost-effective designs through value engineering, capturing lessons learned for ongoing improvement.
- Guarantee meticulous preparation and filing of documentation, contributing to overall project success.
skills & experience required
- Bachelor’s Degreein Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 - 15 years relevant experience in EPC projects
- Strong track record in the management of basic and detailed engineering activities of Chemical or petrochemical projects
