about the job
- Responsible for overall procurement of relevant raw & building materials, subcontracting works.
- Source of reliable suppliers & contractors and to ensure project cost within budget and/or to maximise project savings and/or profits.
- Verify and approve purchase requisitions by reviewing cost comparison report, clarifying unclear items, recommend alternatives or substitutes, propose value engineering, etc.
- Follow up and look into overall administrative matters of various contracts and subcontract works including recommendation of payments, variation order certificates, etc.
- Manage the supply chain management for raw material and contractor.
about the manager/team
The successful candidate will be working in the purchasing department, reporting to Assistant Purchasing Manager and working along with young and energetic Purchaser.
skills and experience required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry
- Preferably industrial project exposure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships.
