You will be overseeing both Direct & Indirect purchases while reporting to the Senior VP of Operations.
about the job
- Identifying and assessing potential suppliers, engaging in contract negotiations, and overseeing interactions with current suppliers to guarantee punctual and dependable provision of products and services.
- Examining market patterns, engaging in price negotiations, and executing strategies aimed at reducing costs to enhance the procurement procedure and decrease expenditures.
- Sustaining optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or surplus stock, all the while minimizing the expenses associated with holding inventory.
- Guaranteeing that procured goods and services adhere to specified quality standards, performing inspections or audits as needed.
- Creating and overseeing budgets associated with procurement tasks, monitoring spending, and providing reports on financial performance.
- Establishing and nurturing positive associations with essential suppliers to cultivate teamwork, effective communication, and enduring partnerships.
skills/experience
- Possesses at least a Degree in Engineering/a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in industrial components including Manufacturing environment.
- Robust understanding of strategic procurement, cost saving, price benchmarking & supplier development,
